Classical Guitar Music by Black Composers
This “blog,” which started off as a research project in Dr. Courtney-Savali Andrews’ Afro-Classical Music Forum at Oberlin, is a catalog of music by African Diasporic composers, arrangers, and musicians for the classical guitar. Damian L. Goggans’ research builds upon the preestablished work of the following sources: Dr. Ciyadh Wells & Neil Beckman’s directory of Guitar Music by Black Composers, Changing the Canon by Ex-Aequo, AfroClassical by Aiuta Igleke.
